Research is being conducted within the betabrain learning environment on module instruction utilizing both quantitative and qualitative measures. In a blended approach, students access electronic content, media, instructional materials, and activities while performing hands-on problem-solving within the classroom environment. The two models of instruction being researched are directed learning vs. problem-based learning while completing an engineering problem solving module. For purposes of the study, module content and access must be controlled by usernames and passwords.
